There may be a lot of talk about what the law allows Bashas' and the union to say and do. You should be aware that the law also guarantees you, as a member of the Bashas' family, certain rights, including the following:

  • You have the right to support or not to support the union.

  • You have the right to receive paychecks free from deductions for union dues and assessments.

  • You have the right to ALL of the facts about the UFCW, and the impact on our business, not merely the facts the union wants you to know.

  • You have the right not to be bothered at home or at work by union organizers. You can tell them to leave you alone.

  • You have the right to ignore phone calls from union organizers.

  • You have the right to protect your privacy.

  • You have the right to ask questions of any supervisor or member of management.

  • You have the right to speak for yourself and to let your feelings be known to others.

  • You have the right to speak out against turning over your job rights to a labor union.

  • You have the right to receive a steady paycheck without risk of a union strike.

  • You have the right to work in an environment where employees work together as a team and not as adversaries.

  • You have the right to just say "NO" to union organizers
